EDUCATION: DESPITE THE BACKLASH By: Abubakr Damilare(Maiyaki)

The agenda to twist the tide, turn an ace player to a bench warmer on the team, in every clime, is always an exercise in futility. Because it is against 'common sense' to reduce a 'game changer' to the bench, all in the name of discipline. However, indiscipline in itself is against the run of play. Therefore finding a justification for a warning or a send off signal alike.

But the love of the game is one that could trigger a psychopath to eschew detractors on the pitch and shun 'wailers' from the stands, then go for the goal, which in the end is always the ultimate prize.

So for a tactician, who perhaps is good at his shots, such transition from a 'tactician to a talisman' may not be too long, but too unconventional that, without much ado, the MVP of the match will become too crystal to the eyes. So that on the gala night, such a lendary will be inscribed on all individual titles while his legacy shall forever be conspicuous in the Hall of Fame.

Maybe not or otherwise is this backlash going to affect our destiny. But the utmost decision to either change or maintain the momentum remains our sole responsibility. It is in our own interest that we must ensure that our commitment to true democracy does not shake.

Even as the recent steps of the umpire haven't fall short of suspicions, we can not relent yet. Whether till thy kingdom comes or sooner, our stake still holds. So as key stakeholders, we should always be at alert. We must be patient until we are able to exercise our civic duties and protect our 'votes'.
God bless Nigeria!
