Poetry: THE LISTENER By: Abd'Fatah Olayinka Abd'Samad

Arrive! The toady minion of burning shadows
With the ride, roaming  through silent odds
Rapping on the languid portal of my silent forge...
Humming softly and piercing widely —pores to bury the mountains of sickening fluids,
And the knights smothering around the perplexed weakling with leafy shields...
Inside, lies the listener...
Deluded and helpless....
Marred and thoughtless...
A blinded sight bound by scary nights.

..  ...   ....   .....   ......   .......   ........

Awake! Oh Craving heart of heartfelt cries,
Soar your bleeding voice through the morning call!
Lift thy gaze upon the echoing moan of the thundering cloud,
Spit unto the burning alter — your burning desires
For he, the listener...
Hears all the dripping bleeds from your mind...
—the battleground of endless grieves!

..   ...   ....   .....   ......     .......   ........    .........

Crave me not,
For I live in a different universe
Hear me not,
For I chant your sacred praise in reverse
See me not,
For I hide behind the shadow veil of thoughts
Feel me not,
For I wilt away like whimsy wishes
As smiles does away from scary places,
As you are the wisher of all,
And I, the listener of all wishes.
