Poetry: THE DAY I WAS BORN By: Abd'Fatah Olayinka Abd'Samad

Deep! Deep in the heart of a cavern
Beyond! Farther way from reaches of the eyes
Lies a Goddess —a moaning empress...
...carving tunes of soaring emotions,
Craving breath from aura of tepidness
Lies legions of angels — dancing with burning fears...
...humming softly, to the endless wails of the mind with burning tears.
lies the breeze! Roaming around with talking drums...
... beating sweats around all burning hairs...
For they all await the highness!
The blooming flower carved from dying pyres.

A time of thrills, grief and cheer,
With smiles of giggles...
And glooms of tears,
With wails of pleases...
From a skin with tears,
I arrived — to all loves embrace
A nameless man, amid a crowd...
A  flying dove from a blinded cloud,

The day I was born,
wishes came true,
Trees blow whistles,
Deserts purged seas,
Smiles burn fears,
Fields yield seeds,
And a woman turned mother!
