POETRY: The Bleeding Moon By: Issa Ameenah Abiodhun✍

The moon bleeds
It's no longer at ease
The earth's years decrease
Today is a sight of war
Everywhere, it's horror
It's a world governed by terror
It's now taller buildings than trees
It's buildings with no shelter
Poor finds ease beside gutter
They wallow and swallow dirty water
Decency is a pride of the past
The innocents are outcasts
Outside is chest with bear breast
Virginity used to be our pride
Today is loosed hole with new pride
She has nothing more to hide
All men have done through her ride
The moon we knew used to be white, wide and bright
It's now a moonlight tale with bleeding moon
It's now evening, no longer afternoon.
